Jill M. Manning

Jill M. Manning, founder of The Manning Law Firm, is a mediator, trial attorney and skilled litigator. Ms. Manning has represented clients in class action and complex litigation matters in state and federal court in a wide variety of fields, including antitrust and competition, consumer protection, privacy, health care, mass torts, sports, and securities law. She is one of the top-rated attorneys in Northern California and has met the-stringent “Super Lawyers” selection criteria each year since 2020. She tried two antitrust class action cases to verdict in the past three years.

Ms. Manning brings a unique blend of skills honed through decades of complex litigation and innovative problem-solving to her ADR practice. Her approach is marked by a deep commitment to understanding the nuances of each case, fostering constructive dialogue, and guiding parties toward mutually agreeable solutions. Her neutral services are sought after for their effectiveness in providing both facilitative and evaluative mediations in cases where she has subject matter expertise.

In addition to her ADR practice, Ms. Manning has demonstrated leadership in her professional life and community. She presently serves as Vice President of California Lawyers Association, following over three years of service on the Board of Representatives. She served as Chair of the Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law Section Executive Committee during the 2017-2018 term and presently serves as an Advisor. She is the co-creator and co-chair of the annual “Celebrating Women in Competition Law” event, now in its eighth year.  In 2024, Marin County voters elected her to serve as a Trustee on the Marin County Board of Education, following fifteen years on the Board of Trustees of the Shoreline Unified School District, including seven years as President.

Ms. Manning lives in West Marin with her husband and daughter. She enjoys cooking with vegetables grown in her garden, hiking coastal Marin and Sonoma with her Australian Shepherd, playing tennis, and exploring ancient ruins.
